This slim spindle of Texas Ebony is all heartwood.  Beautiful grain, slightly curving with a couple of small knots that give it some pretty figure.

It's been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content.  A couple of the knots are slightly open, so you may wish to fill those with CA glue. There are a couple of small cracks to touch up with CA glue prior to turning.
