Texas Ebony Block TE-730 1.7" x 1.7" x 14.5" 1.9 lbs. This beautiful block of Texas Ebony is about 95% dark chocolate-brown of Texas Ebony heartwood and 5% lighter honey-blonde of Texas Ebony sapwood. The grain pattern is linear to gently wavy, with the grain parallel to the long axis of the spindle. There is crisp contrast between the heartwood and sapwood. There is one small crack that you may wish to CA glue. And a bit of slightly softer wood in one area (on a side face, adjacent to the block's label). See the close-ups for these areas.
