Texas Ash Bowl Blank TA-121 13" x 13" x 5" 15 lbs. This is a large bowl blank of Texas Ash, suitable for a bowl of approximately 13" diameter and 5" depth. This is a half-log blank with full bark on the back side, ready to be turned as either a conventional or natural-edge bowl. The bark is mostly complete on the back but is slightly loose at the edges; you would need to secure it with CA glue if intending to keep it on a live edge bowl. This bowl blank contains a nice crotch with attractive grain patterns associated with the branching. It does include some pith. There are some pith-associated cracks that you'll need to either avoid or stabilize. One of these extends to at least 1.5" depth, as tested by a plunge wire.
