This is a set of Spalted White Oak knife scales that will make a beautiful knife handle.   They are bookmatched, such that the pieces of wood are mirror images of each other.  Each scale is 3/8" thick. 

The wood has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content.  These are not stabilized.  The wood has lost density through the spalting process but should be sufficiently strong to work without stabilizing.
