This is a small slab of air-dried Mesquite. Its color is beautiful, and the contrast between heartwood and sapwood is distinct. It has full and well-attached bark on one edge; the bark has been removed from the opposite edge.
Air-dried to 10-12% moisture content for stability. Wet-look photos have been treated with denatured alcohol to preview the finished appearance.
