Mesquite Block M2023 1" x 1.5" x 10.6" 0.5 lbs. This small block of Texas Mesquite is all heartwood. Its color is a beautiful deep reddish-brown. The grain is roughly parallel to the long axis. There are several eye-catching grain swirls around burl buds. This block has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. There are no cracks or checks. There is a thin bark inclusion near one of the burl buds; see close-up for detail. |
