Mesquite Block M2019 1" x 1" x 9.7" 0.3 lbs. This is a narrow spindle of Texas Mesquite. It's the beautiful deep reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood with a wedge of sapwood and bark along one edge. The grain is inclined to the long axis. This block has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. If you wish to turn and keep the bark, secure it well with CA glue prior to start. |
