Live Oak Cubes, Set of 2 – RO573
2" x 2" x 2" each
0.5 lbs. per set of 2
Really unique! These are two live oak cubes, cut as dice but versatile enough for other uses. Live oak is a dense, heavy, tight-grained wood, and these pieces are highly figured, with lively variation in the grain and color. Some show light spalting, which adds dark lines and flecks of character.
We sell many sets of cubes of this size, so the photos show representative examples rather than the exact set you will receive. Each piece is unique, so expect natural variation in figure, color, and spalting.
The cubes are rough-cut and unsanded, so you can finish them however you like. They would make good dice or game pieces, and they are a handy size for small turned projects such as boxes, ornaments, spinning tops, and finials. They also work well for carving, inlay, and other small projects.
These cubes are fully air dried slowly and evenly, which helps minimize the risk of cracking or movement once work begins.
