Live Oak Block LO528 2.6" x 2.8" x 4" 1 lbs. This is a nice end-grain Live Oak spindle. The grain is straight and parallel to the long axis of the block. The block is air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. One edge intersects the bark of the tree, and along it there is some torn grain extending to a depth of about 1/2" from the edge. If you're turning the block, that will turn off as you bring it to round. |
