This is a nice quarter-sawn board of Texas Eastern Red Cedar. It is entirely deep reddish-purple heartwood with a smoothly linear to gently curving grain pattern.  The board is sealed with Anchor Seal and has been air-dried to ~12% moisture content.

This piece is very aromatic -- it smells wonderful!   On Sale!!    There is a drying crack present that can be stabilized with CA glue (see close up photos).   There are also a few scattered wood borer holes.   I've discounted the board because of these features.
