This is a petite end grain block of Texas Eastern Red Cedar.  It was too pretty to let it go to waste -- this will make a beautiful small turning, such as for a bottle stopper or a spinning top.  

This piece is very aromatic -- it smells wonderful!  There are no knots visible in the block.  There is wane and a bit of sapwood in one corner, as shown in the first photo.   The block is sealed with Anchor Seal and has been air-dried to ~12% moisture content.
