Very uniform block of Texas Walnut sapwood.  It has the warm yellow-brown tones of Walnut sapwood.  Consistent color and grain fabric throughout the block.  Grain is mostly parallel and long, with a few attractive and gentle swirls around burl buds.   I see no cracks, checks, or flaws in this block.
