Silver Maple Block SM-240 2.1" x 2.1" x 11.6" 1.1 lbs. This is an attractive spindle of Texas-grown Silver Maple. It has an overall light golden tone to the wood with a fine, even grain texture. There are faint brown stripes through the wood and occasional small knots. Most of the knots are 1/4" across or less. The grain runs long and more-or-less straight, parallel to the long axis of each spindle. This wood has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content.
