Mesquite Block M2000 1.6" x 1.8" x 7.8" 0.75 lbs. This is a eye-catching end-grain block of Texas-grown Mesquite. The color is the rich, reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood with some creamy beige sapwood and dark-chocolate bark. The grain is mostly straight and is at a slightly inclined angle to the long axis of the block This block has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks, or flaws. The sapwood has some bug bites (tiny tunnels). |
