Mahogany Block Mg-457x 1" x 1" x 8" 0.2 lbs. This is an attractive small spindle of rough-sawn Mahogany. It's definitely not from Texas! We seldom have non-Texas wood in our inventory, but this is left over from a commissioned project. Mahogany makes a gorgeous turning wood, and these spindles are ideal for pen blanks, finials, magic wands, and the like. The grain on this block is long and straight. The color is a deep red brown with a beautiful chatoyance. The wood is 8 to 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks or other flaws. |
