Mahogany makes a gorgeous turning wood, and these spindles are ideal for pen blanks, finials, magic wands, and the like. The grain on this spindle is long and straight. The color is a deep red brown, with a beautiful chatoyance. The wood is 8 to 10% moisture content. I see no cracks, checks or other flaws. |
