This is another nice end-grain block of Black Cherry. It is entirely a light pinkish-brown heartwood with a very pleasing grain pattern. There is a single prominent, imbedded small limb on one edge, within an area of a complex, somewhat swirlng grain. It looks as if that imbedded limb will turn off as the block is roughed to round, likely leaving that complex grain as an nice, eye-catching feature.
I see no cracks, checks or other potential flaws.
