Black Walnut Bowl Blank BW435 3" x 6" x 6.9" lbs. This is a very nice square-cut bowl blank of Black Walnut heartwood. The color is a pleasant medium brown to dark brown with a very nice, gently-flowing grain pattern. There are several small knots in one corner. A fine crack runs between the two knots, as shown in the close-up photo, measuring 1.7" long and .7" deep. We recommend securing the crack with thin CA glue prior to turning. This piece has been air-dried to under 10% moisture content. |
