This is a nice rift-sawn board of Texas Eastern Red Cedar. It is entirely deep reddish-purple heartwood with a smoothly linear to gently curving grain pattern.  There is one attractive branch knot mid-board, as shown in the first photo.  The board is sealed with Anchor Seal and has been air-dried to ~12% moisture content.

This piece is very aromatic -- it smells wonderful!
