Black Walnut Board BW429 0.6" x 3.8" x 27.6" 1.4 lbs. This is a nice uniform board of S4S Texas-grown Black Walnut. It is all heartwood. The colors are an overall medium brown with bands of darker-brown grain. There are a number of small, closed knots that give a pretty swirl to the grain and a bit of chatoyance. This piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. I see no cracks or checks. There are a couple of minor dents along one edge. |
