Batch of Walnut 5 spindles 0.9 lbs. This is an attractive set of 5 Walnut spindles. These are 1" square spindles, ranging from 4" to 9" long. The grain is fairly straight, and there are no major knots in these spindles. Most of them have a bit of bark attached. Several of them have impressive bore holes -- some are open and some are frass-filled. These spindles have been air-dried for years to a moisture content of 10-12%. If you wish to keep the bark on in the finished turning, we recommend you use thin CA glue to fix it in place prior to working with it.
