Batch of Mystery Wood 4 Pieces 0.6 lbs. This is a set of 4 mystery wood spindles. They're each 1.4" x 1.4" x 3.1". I'm not sure what type of wood this is, but my guess is an oak -- perhaps a red/water oak. They were mistakenly labeled as bald cypress. After seeing the grain and color, I think that it's unlikely to be cypress. These are nice clean, surfaced blanks. I see an ocassional fine drying check - if you have a crack, just touch it up with CA glue prior to turning. |
