| Green Ash Block 118 2" x 2" x 10-1/2" 1-1/4 lbs. This is another very nice end-grain block of native Texas Ash. The color is an overall light brown with a nice, linear grain pattern. It was also cut from close to the pith and a small portion of that pith, including a shallow, pith-parallel, open borer hole is present along one edge. That pith area and open borer hole will turn off completely as the block is roughed to round on the lathe. I see no other flaws. |
