| Bodark Board B-559 2-1/4" x 11" x 5/8" ~1/2 lbs. This is a nice, quarter-sawn board of Texas Bodark. The color is the strong golden-yellow of fresh-cut Bodark heartwood with a single strong band of reddish spalting along one edge of the back side (bottom photo). I see no serious flaws, but there is a single small, shallow and very tight crack on one edge of the end-grain face and adjacent side (top photo, near end, left side). That is the very tail-end of a crack that was located outside the limits of this board. I consider it to be insignificant. |
